One leader who exemplifies those qualities is Mike Shea, Regional President of our Central Region. In this role, Mike oversees operations and provides strategic direction across a wide range of client partnerships throughout the central United States.
Mike leads efforts in client engagement, regional performance management, compliance adherence, and process improvement—with a focus on driving innovation and delivering outstanding, participant-focused service.

Mike’s journey to leadership is anything but ordinary. Before joining Zenith, Mike served in the United States Air Force for 20 years, retiring in 2004. His military career was marked by courage and sacrifice, including receiving the Purple Heart for injuries sustained in a terrorist attack in Honduras in 1988. Following his military career, Mike transitioned to the world of Third-Party Administration in 2005, beginning as a Client Executive. He joined Zenith in 2009 as the Branch and Operations Manager for our Las Vegas office. His leadership, operational expertise, and commitment to service quickly earned him a promotion to his current role as Regional President for the Central Region.
Mike brings more than 19 years of experience managing Taft-Hartley Trust Funds, including his previous work supporting the Las Vegas Fire Fighters Plan. With a strong focus on innovation, Mike leverages his experience to stay ahead of technology trends and lead teams that deliver best-in-class service to clients and participants. A firm believer in the power of collaboration, Mike’s leadership style is centered around his definition of “TEAM”—Together Everyone Achieves More. He is passionate about fostering an environment where teams are empowered through collaborative decision-making, continuous development, and a shared commitment to excellence.
Mike also emphasizes the importance of leading by example, valuing integrity, empathy, and adaptability as the cornerstones of effective leadership. His work with internal teams and Fund Professionals ensures that each client receives the outstanding, personalized service they deserve.
When he's not working, Mike enjoys staying connected to his New York roots. A proud native New Yorker, he’s a devoted fan of the New York Yankees and New York Giants. He also has a lifelong love for bowling—having bowled six perfect 300 games!
