Preparing for 2026: Key Compliance Mailings, Filing Deadlines, and How Zenith Keeps You Ahead

As we look toward the 2026 plan year, the regulatory landscape continues to evolve, bringing new compliance mailings, participant disclosures, and filing deadlines that employers and plan sponsors must be prepared to manage. At Zenith, our mission is to make this process clear, timely, and dependable.

A significant part of that commitment comes from the strength of our internal legal department. Zenith has an internal legal department comprising various divisions, including legal, compliance, privacy, quality assurance, and internal auditing. We have two senior ERISA attorneys on staff, as well as credentialed compliance and privacy leaders. This multidisciplinary structure ensures that every regulatory update is evaluated from all angles, legal, operational, administrative, and participant-focused.

How Zenith Monitors and Responds to Regulatory Change

The 2026 compliance cycle is expected to include continued adjustments stemming from recent legislation, regulatory modernization efforts, and evolving agency interpretations. To prepare effectively, staying informed is essential, and that work begins long before any mailing is due or any filing deadline approaches.

Our Compliance Manager monitors the regulatory environment and keeps management informed about new or changed rules that apply to our clients and/or our internal operations. In turn, our Client Service Directors work with our clients and their professional advisors as necessary to determine appropriate responses and then ensure that such responses are implemented. When it becomes necessary to communicate with participants and/or their employers, we distribute any required notices.
